Test Ride Policy
We offer many wonderful types, brands and models of bicycles. One of the best ways to select the right one is taking test rides to feel how they differ from each other and from your current ride.
You must leave an acceptable form of photo identification and a credit card for pre-authorization at the store while out on the ride.
You have indicated that you are competent to safely ride the test bike and will observe safe riding practices and obey all laws, including wearing a bicycle helmet. You have further represented yourself to be in good health and that you understand that you must ride within your personal capabilities. If you have any medical conditions, which may cause you a problem, you should not ride.
For test riding sport bikes such as road and off-road models for training, racing or long-distance riding, feel free to wear your full-on riding gear, helmet, shorts, jersey and shoes (you can suit up in our dressing room). This is the best way to compare new machines because it's what you're used to when you're riding your current bike.
Similarly, if you use a certain pedal/shoe system, you can bring your pedals, too, and we'll install them on the bike so you'll be able to ride what you're used to.
High performance bicycle will be test ridden on an indoor trainer.
Test rides can be time consuming, if you know you are coming in to test a bike, you can book an appointment with our staff. That way we can have the bike/bikes ready for you and be able to dedicate the time it will take.
Waiver
In consideration of part and in addition to the test ride at Elora Ski Cycle, it is hereby agreed that Elora Ski Cycle will not be liable for any bodily harm or injury whatsoever caused to the rider as a result of the test ride of said bicycle(s).
The rider further agrees to pay for any injuries caused to third parties or damages sustained to the chattels belonging to any third parties.
The rider further agrees to pay for any damage sustained to said bicycle(s) as a result of said test ride and to be responsible for the full replacement cost value of said bicycle(s) in the event that same is/are stolen during the currency of said test ride.
The rider hereby agrees that the amount of the monetary cost of said damages to the bicycle(s) or estimated cost must be paid by the rider.
All costs, including legal costs on a solicitor and client basis, shall be borne by the rider in the event that any legal action is necessary to enforce any of the terms of this agreement or to defending any action taken against Elora Ski Cycle.
Elora Ski Cycle staff reserve the right to refuse any test ride.
